The Cabaret: Soft Machine

Soft Machine Jonny Woo

Picture it. A teenage Jonny Woo, Amsterdam, drugged cigarettes, canals, cider, The Doors. Who knew that that sort of combination would inspire Jonny – the capital’s foremost drag terrorist – to create the show Soft Machine? Channelling Jim Morrisson at his most off-the-wall, this transgender tribute is an emotional rollercoaster, a tour de force, a whisker on a kitten, a snowflake on an eyelash and probably one of our favourite things even though we have not seen it yet. But we will. It’s on at Bistroteque this Saturday and Sunday (5 and 6 August), which means you can have a slap-up dinner before or after the show (and it is a very lovely experience, those of you who have not Bistrotequed up until this point).
