The Film Season: Greg Araki

Greg Araki, Kaboom

We won’t hear a word against Brixton. It is grand and lovely with beautifully planned spaces and history written all over it, sometimes not even in aerosol. Which is why we love the Ritzy, a ‘carrot cake’ cinema of the highest order. And what we’re loving in particular right now is a season of movies by the one, the only, the one and the only Greg Araki. Yes, his Kaboom might not have set us on fire (though we applauded the male nudity on our feet!) but we’re suckers for his Mysterious Skin and his knockabout HIV thriller Living End and we love the sound of Totally Fucked Up (just has that ring, doesn’t it?) It kicks off this Saturday with Mysterious Skin and you can get your tickets here.
