How could we possibly fail to do well at Saturday’s annual humiliation at the hands of eastern Europeans, which some people still call The Eurovision Song Contest, with these bobby-dazzlers representing us. They are Blue, this is a picture from a very steamy shoot for the wonderful Attitude magazine (we know just how steamy as we were there interviewing them), and they are carrying the flag for the United Kingdom at Saturday’s competition live from Dusseldorf. Second favourites (and very well known in the Balkan states, so you never know, we might pick up a couple of points), Blue are up against the favourite, an operatic boy from France, a boom-bang-a-bang group from Belgium, last year’s German winner Lena, who has decided to make it two in a row and, erm, Jedward representing Ireland (who’s song is bad. Real bad. Even worse than real bad. So real bad people are saying it may win). Highly enjoyable fun, even if we do miss Sir Terry Wogan’s mickey-taking, it all kicks off on BBC1 at 8pm, Saturday 14th May.
