The Talk: Will Self at the V&A

V&A Talks

Perfect timing as ever over at London’s V&A – or Victoria & Albert Museum, if you’re a stickler – where they have recruited none other than Will Self to talk about his book Dorian to coincide with the museum’s really rather excellent Age of Beauty exhibition. The exhibition takes in that period of aesthetes that marked the end of the 19th century – you know, Aubrey Beardsley, William Morris, the pre-Raphaelites – and Will Self just happens to have written an updated version of The Picture of Dorian Gray by the King of the Aesthetes, Oscar Wilde. Just one of a series of talks – the others are by Nicholas Hytner, who’ll be talking theatre and Alejandro Zaera-Polo on architecture – Will Self is on Friday, 13th May (which for most of us is today) at 7pm for the ready-money amount of just £9.
