The Late Nights: Museums at Night

Sir John Soane's museum

London’s a jammy old bugger when it comes to museums – fit to bursting with the world’s best, every taste and whim is catered for in our cultural establishments – and this weekend you can dip your urbane toes into these revered places come night fall, when they take on a whole other atmosphere. Museums at Night – now in its third year – offers tours, events, screenings, talks, whatnot, sometimes with a bit of a party atmosphere, during the wee hours and most of the biggies as well as some of the more obscure museums/galleries/libraries are involved – Kensington Palace, Dr Johnson’s House, Courtauld Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, Sir John Soane’s, Royal Air Force Museum, Old Operating Theatre Museum, need we go on? – and you’d be a fool to miss out.
