The Alternative Royal Wedding

V&A late night

If you’re in the market for hi-jinks of a royal wedding flavour but don’t necessarily want to spend it boozing at the Jake Royal Wedding Reception, we have an idea for you. The V&A Museum is doing one of their Friday lates called I Do. You are strongly encouraged (by them, not us) to go dressed as a bridesmaid or similar wedding-type dignitary, with prizes for the best dressed, while there are wedding-based workshops and marriage-themed tours of the collection. Join in the commemorative plate-throwing, hear some jokey wedding speeches, eat trifle and, go on!, have a small glass of something fizzy to raise. It starts at 6.30pm and goes on until 10pm on Friday 29th April and is free, though some events may require a ticket.
