Where Jonny Woo goes, we will follow (unless it’s somewhere, you know, really horrible). And where he goes at the moment is Village Underground for to do his own multi-media extravaganza The Jonny Woo Show. He’s always wanted his own TV show, apparently, and this is the next rung on the ladder on the climb to that coveted 9pm on a Friday night slot. Now, for anyone who isn’t familiar with the oeuvre of Jonny Woo, think 70s San Francisco and the anarchic Cockettes, a drag queen with a beard, a bad attitude and a very surreal approach to the world. Expect live guests getting a grilling, someone probably taking their clothes off, some songs that you really love, maybe a little video, live music, something unexpected, a few drinks, a kiss in the taxi home, a nice buzz… It all takes place, as we say, at Village Underground, 54 Holywell Lane, EC2A 3PQ, which is Liverpool Street way. Tickets are £8 in advance from http://www.ticketweb.co.uk or £10 to the lady on the door.
