The Tribute: Leigh Bowery at the ICA

Leigh Bowery at the ICA

If you’re not coming down to the Jake Party at Eight this Friday (April 1st), and are in the mood for something out-there, a little avant garde, a little on the wild side, may we direct your black cab to Sunshine Night Time: A Tribute to Leigh Bowery. Taking place at the ICA in The Mall where they have decided to honour what would have been the 50th birthday of the Australian icon, artist and model for Lucien Freud, the evening lowers gently into the water at 9pm and will feature performances from the highly high inheritors of Bowery’s sparkly baton. We are talking Johnny Woo, Scottee, Ryan Styles, the creme de la creme of London’s underground scene. Mix and mingle with the talent and old friends of Leigh’s, see the show and some unseen video of the great man and generally pay tribute in the only way you know: with a few glasses of something refreshing. Tickets are £15 and you can buy them here.
